Some days my heart aches more than others. Some days my tears fall more than others. Some days the fight to get up is a little harder than others. Be honest, do you ever feel like that? It would be nice to be able to control our entire day, but there are some things we can’t control.
Today was a hard day for me. I honestly could feel that it would be, so I started preparing ahead of time for how I would handle it. Yesterday I decided to wear one of my favorite pair of earrings to work. It was my first day back in the office since the beginning of the pandemic. However, I also gave myself space to sort of go with the flow and do what felt right for me once today finally approached.
One of the things I decided to do, that wasn’t originally part of the plan, was to call around to see if I could get a last minute massage scheduled. One company gave me hope and said they had an availability, but when I called back (less than 10 minutes later) they apologized and said that they couldn’t do it. I didn’t get upset because I knew that it may be hard to get a same day appointment scheduled. I started to give up, but then I felt the Lord tell me to try again. So, I reached out to another company and thankfully they were able to fit me in.
Several of my friends and followers will periodically contact me to ask questions about how to get through hard days or difficult situations. I actually had someone to reach out to me today to ask, so this blog post was inspired by that conversation. This morning I woke up thinking only about myself and how my day was going, but little did I know that someone else was having a hard day too. As I kept thinking about our interaction I figured that some of you may have had a hard day too.
We can’t always control if we will have a good day or not so good day. Remember that people care about you. You are needed. You’ve made mistakes but you are not a mistake. The world is so much better because of you.
I would love for you to take a listen to the tips I’m sharing with you to help you get through the hard days. You may not need them today, but I suggest tucking them into your back pocket because you never know when you may need them. P.S. Don’t blame me if you decide to go order one of your favorite drinks and a sweet treat:)
I hope you all enjoy this new format that I’m trying out. You can click the play button now or wait to listen during your commute to work, while exercising, or just whenever you feel like it.
So comment below y’all. I want to talk to you. What are some things you do to help you on days you don’t feel ok?
